Welcome to America's Shipyard, a series dedicated to highlighting the amazing employees getting the work done at Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) - ONE TEAM supporting ONE MISSION! In this eleventh episode, Capt. Dianna Wolfson joins an amazing team comprised of various shops and codes whose outstanding efforts under a shared vision successfully completed “in-shop” repairs for the USS Toledo (SSN 769) Steering, Stern Diving, and RBP Gear.
From planning and scheduling, to making the needed repairs, reassembly and inspections – it’s vital that this ONE TEAM effort went smoothly to ensure timely delivery to our Fleet in support of our ONE MISSION. Together, our teammates rose to the challenge and completed this work, some of which was completed for the first time here at America’s Shipyard.
These efforts not only directly tie into our mission here at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, but also the Naval Sustainment System – Shipyards, or NSS-SY, effort to deliver ON TIME, EVERY TIME.
Bravo Zulu to all involved and a job well-done!
