U.S. Marine Capt. Kyle King, a native of Coupeville, Washington, tells the story of how he became the first active-duty Marine to win the Marine Corps Marathon since 1983 on Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center Twentynine Palms, California, Nov. 8, 2022. The Marine Corps Marathon is an annual marathon held to promote physical fitness, generate community goodwill, and showcase the organizational skills of the United States Marine Corps.
