This documentary celebrates 20 years of partnerships between Djibouti, the United States, and allies and partners across East Africa. Combined Joint Task Force - Horn of Africa was established on Oct. 19, 2002 in the aftermath of the vicious attacks of 9/11. A month later, at the invitation of Djibouti, U.S. Marines embarked on a journey aboard the USS Mount Whitney to move to Camp Lemonnier. Since then, the enduring partnership between the United States, Djibouti and other African countries has kept watch by, with and through like-minded partners and allies, countering the free world's enemies, upholding the UN Charter, and bringing stability and prosperity through defense, diplomacy and development initiatives.
