U.S. Marines with 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company, III Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, celebrate the 247th birthday of the Marine Corps with a ball ceremony in Onna, Okinawa, Nov. 3, 2022. The birthday balls are held annually in units across the Marine Corps to celebrate the founding of the Corps in 1775. The ceremony includes reading of the birthday message from the commandant and a cake cutting ceremony with the oldest and youngest Marines present.
