2nd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) and 1-502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd Brigade Combat Team celebrated the 144th anniversary of the Romanian 9th Mechanized Brigade "Mărăşeşti" in Constanta, Romania on Nov. 1, 2022. The Soldiers of the Romanian 9th Mechanized Brigade "Mărăşeşti" have served honorably and heroically across the world in numerous conflicts and peace keeping operations, from World War I to Iraq and Afghanistan. The United States’ commitment to defending NATO territory is ironclad and the United States will continue to bolster our posture to better defend our NATO Allies.
