U.S. Marine Corps machine gunners assigned to 2nd Battalion, 7th Marine Regiment, 1st Marine Division and joint terminal attack controllers assigned to Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics One (MAWTS-1), participate in a close air support exercise during Weapons and Tactics Instructors (WTI) course 1-23, at UTC Yodaville, near Yuma, Arizona, on Oct. 9, 2022. WTI is a seven-week training event hosted by MAWTS-1, providing standardized advanced tactical training and certification of unit instructor qualifications to support Marine aviation training and readiness, and assists in developing and employing aviation weapons and tactics.
