Telemetry Engineer Jered Herndon of Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division shares how he set up a Pre-Exit Telemetry Retransmission Amplifier antenna aboard guided-missile destroyer USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) in preparation for the Pacific Dragon 2022 exercise in June 2022 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Five nations are participating in PACDRAGON 2022 in and around the Hawaiian Islands in August. This international maritime exercise provides a unique training opportunity to detect, track, and defend against ballistic missiles while fostering and sustaining cooperative relationships among participants critical to ensuring safety and security on the world’s oceans. PACDRAGON 2022 is the third exercise in the series that began in 2018. (U.S. Navy video by James Hancock)
