Marines with U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, alongside senior leaders from the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force and the Australian Army participate in a trilateral meeting during the eighth iteration of the Pacific Amphibious Leaders Symposium, Tokyo, Japan, June 13, 2022. PALS consists of discussions and presentations which aim to promote greater regional amphibious capability and interoperability with joint forces, allies and partners. This year’s symposium brought together senior leaders from 18 delegations who are committed to a free and open Indo-Pacific, with the objective of strengthening and developing regional relationships.
