Soldiers from 1st Air Cavalry Brigade and the U.K. 16 Air Assault Combat Brigade Combat Team have joined forces in more ways than one during Exercise Swift Response. U.S. and U.K. food service specialists work together day and night to prepare thousands of meals in the British operational field catering system (OFCS). Although under the operational control of 16 Brigade, there are Soldiers from multiple units in this deliberate and coordinated operation that ensures the dietary needs for over 1,000 Troops located in Skopje for the exercise. Training together allows culinary professionals from both countries to build trust while learning new skills from each other.
Exercise Swift Response 2022 is an annual multinational training exercise, which takes place in Eastern Europe, the Arctic High North, Baltics, and Balkans from May 2-20, 2022.
