For over ten years, White Sands Missile Range has hosted the Steel Thunder exercise where soldiers from the United Kingdom conduct live firings of their missiles. UK soldiers from the 19th Battery, 26th Regiment Royal Army had another successful fire of the Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System (GMLRS) on April 1, 2021. The annual event is routine training for UK soldiers and allows them to fire live rounds in a practice environment.
