An 81mm mortar undergoes a turning operation on a Watervliet Arsenal milling machine at the arsenal's new mortar factory. Watervliet Arsenal's newly launched mortar factory removed mortar manufacturing equipment from cannon production lines thereby improving efficiency by streamlining product flow of both product lines.
