Watervliet Arsenal increased capacity with the installation of 5-axis milling machines at the Army cannon factory. The new machines are part of a massive modernization effort at the arsenal and perform the tasks of three different machines on the floor space of one machine greatly increasing efficiency, reducing set-up times and increasing capacity.
