An old mill identified for removal from the Watervliet Arsenal cannon production facility is one of several machines that have been replaced by newer technology as part of modernization efforts at the Army cannon factory. Five-axis machines recently installed perform the tasks of three machines in the floor space on one machines greatly improving efficiency and reducing production and set-up times resulting in more capacity.
