U.S. Soldiers assigned to 2d Cavalry Regiment and 173rd Airborne Brigade fire 81mm mortars with the M252 mortar system during the culmination live fire portion of the Infantry Mortar Leaders Course at Grafenwoehr Training Area, Germany, Nov. 17, 2021. During the 5-week course, Soldiers gain the knowledge to compute fire missions by both analog and digital means, and supervise and direct high angle fires from a mortar element.
