Col. Kat Stephens is dual-hatted as the 66th Air Base Group commander and Hanscom Air Force Base installation commander in Massachusetts. Col. Pat Miller is also dual-hatted as the 88th Air Base Wing commander and the Wright-Patterson Air Force Base installation commander in Ohio. Both leaders fall under the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center chain of command. Both leaders accepted their command flags right at the beginning of the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus. They each walk us through what it's been like to serve their respective workforce and keep their installations as safe as possible during the roller coaster ride of change management during their tenure. It turns out that communication and intestinal fortitude are hard but are the key elements to their successes as they work to keep their unique audiences informed and keep the Air Force mission moving forward.
