U.S. Marines with Echo Battery, Battalion Landing Team 3/5, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit (MEU), fire a M777A2 towed 155m howitzer at a live fire range on Camp Fuji, Japan, Sept. 14, 2021. Echo Battery conducted training in order to maintain equipment proficiency in weapon handling and refine unit standard operating procedures. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps' only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
