A message from Col. Blaine Baker and Chief Master Sgt. Cesar Flores:
Warriors of the Mighty 97th, Chief Flores and I know there is a lot going on around the world and understand how much it can affect us, especially our brothers and sisters in arms, both currently serving and our veterans.
We wanted to take a moment to commend those directly supporting Operations Allies Welcome (previously Operations Allies Refuge) missions worldwide. We are also honored to send some of our own Warriors from Mobility’s Hometown to aid in the housing, medical, logistics and transportation efforts of Afghan Refugees here in the United States. Our Mission Support and Medical Groups responded quickly and got our Airmen out the door in about 24 hours – showing how rapidly we are able to train, equip and mobilize our Airmen to aid in these efforts.
We encourage you to continue to look after one another, and please do not hesitate to reach out to helping agencies if needed. Our doors are also always open to anyone who may need to sit down and talk. Again, thank you for all you and your teams continue to do, both here and abroad.
