In deep water, while wearing long pants, a long sleeve shirt and tactical gear, international partners from the Bahamas, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Thailand must successfully float, tread water and swim in place prior to the first water session of the Patrol Craft Officer- Coastal course at Naval Small Craft Instruction and Technical Training School.
Patrol Craft Officer- Coastal is a seven week maritime course of instruction designed to provide Foreign Security Force personnel with in the employment of small patrol craft to conduct security operations in the coastal environment in support of maritime operations.
NAVSCIATTS trains and educates foreign Special Operations Forces, Combat Support forces, and Combat Service Support forces across the tactical, operational, and strategic spectrums through in-residence and Mobile Training Team Courses of Instruction; and serves as USSOCOM's premier Security Force Assistance training asset. More than 13,000 students from more than 120 Partner Nations have trained with this Naval Special Warfare command since 1963. (U.S. Navy video by Michael Williams)
