On August 18th, 1971, a U.S. Army Chinook helicopter crashed in Pegnitz, Germany, killing 37 American Soldiers. The city of Pegnitz held a memorial service honoring those soldiers with the victims families, military personnel government officials, and Pegnitz citizens in attendance.
