Service members from the New York Air National Guard 106th Rescue Wing assigned to JTF-Long Island (LI) perform Preventive maintenance checks and services (PMCS) on their HUMVEE prior to departing for a Hurricane support mission at the 106th Air Rescue Wing, Gabreski Airport, Southampton, NY on August 22, 2021, as part of the States response to Hurricane Henri. New York Military Forces (NYMF) activated five hundred service members throughout various parts of Long Island, NYC, and the Hudson Valley area to preposition Ready Response Forces, Debris Clearance Teams, and General-Purpose service members to respond to any State requests for assistance.
