Virginia Beach, VA (August 12, 2021) Sailors assigned to Naval Mobile Construction Battalion (NMCB) 133 field test a Mini Robotic Submersible-Dredge (MRS-D), currently in development by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Engineer Research and Development Center, onboard Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek – Fort Story as part of a Port Damage Repair simulation during Large-Scale Exercise (LSE) 2021. LSE 2021 applies and assesses developmental warfare concepts and unmanned technologies that will give the Navy and Marine Corps the advantages needed to fight, win, and deter potential aggressors.
