2nd Lt. Sascha Tudela, a platoon leader with 224th Engineer Company, 129th Engineer Battalion, and Sgt. 1st Class Jason Fitzpatrick, a horizontal construction engineer also with 224th, explain how to goal of their annual training this year was to support and develop the community they live in along with the community they train in for the Oregon Army National Guard (OARNG). One team was sent to the Mid-Willamette Family YMCA to develop a new field being used for a parking lot along with a soccer and baseball field. The other team was sent to Camp Rilea, in Warrenton Ore., to improve range roads and some structures as well in order to give this highly-utilized training facility longevity for the OARNG.
