The 48th Fighter Wing participates in F2T2 as a way to increase the forward presence of US forces while enhancing interoperability between forces in all domains. Additionally the operations enhance combined US, allied and partner combat capability by providing sustainable, interoperable, dominant air power to compete, deter and win against theater-specific malign actors between forces in each domain. The missions will also assure allies and partners of US commitment to the region while deterring any near-peer adversary from increased escalation and aggression.
