Despite a high rate of behavioral health (BH) conditions, nearly half of all individuals with a diagnosable BH disorder do not seek any BH care from any professional. However, up to 80 percent will visit their Primary Care Manager (PCM) at least once a year. Dr. Anetta Blevins, an IACH internal behavioral health consultant in the Patient Centered Medical Home, describes how BH care is conveniently provided to patients who otherwise wouldn't consider BH as an option.
