Sgt. Mills, a medic with the 996th Medical Company, is currently assigned to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office Aviation Unit. He is responsible for providing medical support to people that are rescued by the MCSO Aviation Unit. Arizona Guardsmen were activated as part of Gov. Doug Ducey's emergency declaration to support local law enforcement agencies in support roles across the state. Guardsmen spread across several counties are providing vehicle maintenance, administrative, and non-law enforcement support to local police and sheriffs offices.
