MWSS-274 has served since 1986 and was deactivated in accordance with 38th Commandant's Planning Guidance and Force Design 2030. Throughout its nearly 35 years of service, MWSS-274 deployed in support of aviation operations in Operation Desert Shield, Operation Eastern Exit, Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
