The 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit embarks aboard the amphibious assault ship USS Essex (LHD 2), amphibious transport dock ship USS Portland (LPD 27), and amphibious dock landing ship USS Pearl Harbor (LSD 52), for integrated training in March 2021. U.S. Navy and Marine Corps integration training provides the Essex Amphibious Ready Group/11th MEU its first opportunity to plan, brief, and execute multiples mission packages.
