Prepared under authority granted by Section 203 of the Water Resources Development Act (WRDA) of 2000, the Alaska District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers alongside its partners at the Native Village of Elim, Alaska and
Kawerak, Inc. developed the Integrated Feasibility Report and Environmental Assessment for the Elim Subsistence Harbor in Elim, Alaska. After considering multiple alternatives, the 55th Chief of Engineers, Lt. Gen. Scott Spellmon
officially recommended the project to Congress on March 12, 2021.
