    Federal Vaccine Response

U.S. Air Force Maj. Naomi Winterheld, an active-duty clinical nurse specialist and medical training officer for the 55th Medical Group, Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska, and U.S. Army 2nd Lt. Sharice Jones, an active-duty medical surgical nurse from Brooke Army Medical Center, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, speak on their experience working as military nurses and being a part of the COVID-19 vaccination relief efforts at their respective Community Vaccination Centers (CVC) in Texas, March 17, 2021. On this Certified Nurses Day, U.S. Army and Air Force nurses work to receive and prepare vaccines for administration to underserved communities in Texas. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing continued, flexible Department of Defense support to the Federal Emergency Management Agency as part of the whole-of-government response to COVID-19.
