The 101st Airborne Division, “Screaming Eagles,” took flight with new pilots in AH-64 Apache Helicopters.
The training gave the soldiers the opportunity to dry and live fire from the air. A dry fire is the practice firing a weapon system without live ammunition. A live fire uses live rounds. The event put pilots from the 101st Airborne Division and Cav scouts from the 2d Cavalry Regiment to train side by side. 2d Cavalry Regiment gave coordinates to the 101st Airborne Division pilots.
