U.S. Marines with Marine Medium Tiltrotor Squadron (Reinforced), 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, execute tail gunnery and confined area landing during MEU Exercise on Okinawa, Japan, December 15, 2020. The training was performed in order to qualify a crew chief's day time on the M240D machine gun and confined area landings proficiency. The 31st MEU, the Marine Corps’ only continuously forward-deployed MEU, provides a flexible and lethal force ready to perform a wide range of military operations as the premier crisis response force in the Indo-Pacific region.
