Airmen from the 378th Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron and the 77th Fighter Generation Squadron performed a hot pit refuel of a KC-135 Stratotanker from the 379th Air Expeditionary Wing. "Hot-pit refuel" refers to refueling the aircraft while the engines are still running. Techniques like "hot-pit" expedite the refueling process, which allows the aircraft to be ready for another mission sooner.
