Operation Warp Speed - Interview with Chief Science Advisor Dr. Moncef Slaoui
As Operation Warp Speed’s chief science advisor, Dr. Moncef Slaoui brings 30 years of experience and the success of his involvement in developing 14 approved vaccines. During a recent interview at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Dr. Moncef Slaoui discussed several aspects of vaccine development and the accelerated process to find a safe and effective COVID-19 vaccine.
The nearly nine-minute interview covers vaccine safety, Pfizer’s recent efficacy report, Operation Warp Speed’s approach and vaccine confidence.
Dr. Slaoui holds a Ph.D. in Molecular Biology and Immunology from the Université Libre de Bruxelles, in Belgium. He completed postdoctoral studies at Harvard Medical School and Tufts University School of Medicine; and was a professor of Immunology at the University of Mons, Belgium. He received an accelerated Master of Business Administration from IMD, Switzerland in 1998.
