This year will be remembered for many things, but through all the low points, there are many high points—such as the people who came together to help others.
On Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, our Airmen came together to support the 15th Medical Group with rearranging the clinic to best manage COVID-19; Airmen and Sailors provided meals and necessities for those placed on restriction of movement; Airmen made face masks and face shields; and Airmen also collected food and toiletries for the local community.
Our Airmen also came together to discuss racial injustice in America to ensure every Airmen felt heard.
They say nothing can stop the U.S. Air Force—we now know that includes a pandemic. As the CFC starts Oct. 5, we’ll have another opportunity to come together for the greater good. The CFC has more than 20,000 charities to donate toward and it all starts with less than $1 a day—and you can donate from your phone. There are also opportunities to volunteer time.
The CFC has no shortage of causes to support. Hawaii alone has more than 70 charities to contribute toward. Chances are if there’s something you’re passionate about, the CFC has a corresponding charity.
You may ask why you should donate during a pandemic. The reality is many charities are suffering due to decreased donations and canceled fundraisers.
Show some love Sky Warriors and be the face of change!
