The Nevada Guard hosted its ninth annual memorial run/walk on Sunday, Sept. 6, to commemorate the victims of the International House of Pancakes shooting that occurred in 2011. The run/walk start at what used to be the Carson City IHOP, 3883 S. Carson St., at 7 a.m. Sunday.
This year's event also commemorated the ninth anniversary of the shooting with the unveiling of a memorial plaque. The IHOP in Carson City was demolished last year and replaced with a Chase Bank building.
