    On August 18, 2020, the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Corona Division Equal Employment Opportunity Office held an early, virtual celebration of Women's Equality Day, called "Chipping Away at Inequality." U.S. Navy Capt. Catherine Boehme and retired U.S. Navy Capt. Gisele Bonitz spoke on their experiences as women in the military and the workforce. The purpose of the event was to promote and facilitate women's equality in the workplace, and it was open to all NAVSEA Warfare Center employees.
