Soldiers from the U.S. Army Reserve Urban Augmentation Medical Task Force 7454-1 (UAMTF - 7454-1), conduct orientation training at CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi – Shoreline, in Corpus Christi, Texas, July 28, 2020. The task force split into two teams and will support two hospitals, CHRISTUS Spohn Hospital Corpus Christi-Shoreline and DeTar Hospital Navarro in Victoria, Texas. At the request of the Federal Emergency Management Agency, three 85-person U.S. Army Reserve UAMTFs deployed as part of the Department of Defense's ongoing COVID-19 operations in Texas. U.S. Northern Command, through U.S. Army North, remains committed to providing flexible Department of Defense support to states in need as well as the Federal Emergency Management Agency in support of the whole-of-nation COVID-19 response.
