Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Cherry Point and the Governor’s Highway Safety Program kicked off ‘Operation Firecracker,’ the annual Fourth of July ‘Booze It & Lose It’ enforcement campaign June 29, 2020. The campaign runs through the Fourth of July holiday period and is recognized as one of the nation’s most effective anti-drunk-driving campaigns. Booze it & Lose it has created increased awareness of the dangers and consequences of drinking and driving through innovative education campaigns and extensive enforcement of impaired-driving laws.
