On June 24, 2020, Captain Richard Knittig turned over command of the Support Site hospital and Capodichino clinic to Captain Chad McKenzie. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the ceremony broke from typical traditions but staff still gave Captain Knittig one final goodbye - 6 feet away of course.
