Soldiers and Airmen from National Guard units across the country were mobilized to maintain order as part of the District of Columbia National Guard's civil disorder mission. Members from from Missouri, Indiana, Utah and Mississippi departed Joint Base Andrews June 7 and 8 after ensuring the streets of the nation's capital were safer. Days earlier they had arrived within 24 hours of activation to support the DCNG. Together they ensured safe city streets for thousands of protestors in our nation’s capital.
