A fuselage and operational UH-60L Black Hawk helicopter are loaded at Corpus Christi Army Depot May 19, 2020, for an 800-mile trek to Wichita State University's National Institute of Aviation Research. Researchers there will create a virtual model or "digital twin" of the workhorse of Army aviation. The project will create new opportunities to visualize, analyze and predict part performance and aid in advanced manufacturing methods and 3D printing for aircraft parts.
Interviewee is NIAR's Director of Sustainment Dr. Melinda Laubach-Hock
