21st Theater Sustainment Command chaplains conducted a virtual National Day of Prayer ceremony 06 May, 2020 on Panzer Kaserne in Kaiserslautern, Germany.

Days of prayer have been called for since 1775, when the Continental Congress designated a time for prayer in forming a new nation. The National Day of Prayer was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman on 17 April 1952 . The law was amended by Congress and signed by President Ronald Reagan on 5 May 1988, designating the first Thursday of May as a day of national prayer
