Sgt. 1st Class Christopher Bullis, a Drill Sergeant assigned to the U.S. Army Medical Center of Excellence, describes his mission to screen incoming Basic Combat Training Soldiers from Fort Jackson, SC who arrived via chartered flight in a controlled movement through Kelly Field, JBSA Lackland. Prior to being cleared to depart BCT the Soldiers were repeatedly screened for the disease. Once screened at the arriving airfield by Drill Sergeant Bullis and other MEDCoE medical professionals, over 150 Soldiers entered Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sam Houston on April 24,2020 in varying military occupational specialties like 68W Combat Medic, Army Medicine’s largest MOS.
