Soldiers from the Vermont Army National Guard's 40 th Army Band are also the state's Quick Reaction Force (QRF), set up medical surge sites at 3 locations around Vermont. The first surge facility is at the Barre Auditorium, the second at Collins Perley Sports Complex in St. Albans, and the third at the Patrick Gymnasium at the University of Vermont. These sites were set up in the 1st 3 days of the QRF being called to state active duty.
