Hundreds of guardsmen from, 1st Battalion 111th Infantry Regiment, part of Pa. Task Force South, provide support to the Montgomery County Base Test Site located at Temple University's Ambler Campus. At least 250 tests per day have been administered since the site was created on March 19, 2020. Earlier the site was manned by members of the Pennsylvania National Guard's 3rd CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radioactive, Nuclear) Task Force. They have since passed the mission onto 1-111th. The unit goes by the name 'Task Force Associators', based on the unit's history which dates back to Ben Franklin's creation of the Pennsylvania militia, now the Pennsylvania National Guard.
