If time allows, remove helmet and gear before attempting the rescue. Position behind the victim, extend one arm, hand straight. Place your straight hand underneath the victim’s opposite armpit. Maintain a 45-degree angle away from the victim, your arm is locked out. Assist the victim in propulsion until reach to safety.
