U.S. Marine Corps GySgt. Tim Tran and Cpl. Jacob Wooten discuss the operations of the Marine Corps Combat Readiness Evaluation (MCCRE) and William Pendleton Thompson Hill competition (WPT Hill) on Camp Hansen, Okinawa, Japan, Feb 26, 2020. The MCCRE is an exercise which evaluates 3rd Maintenance Battalion’s capabilities and combat readiness. The WPT Hill competition is an event held annually that evaluates all aspects of field mess operations to include sanitation, food preparation, storage, financial accounting and equipment and maintenance. Tran, a native of San Diego, California, is the logistics chief for Combat Logistics Regiment 35, 3rd Marine Logistics Group.
