- Once descend has ceased, relax and allow natural buoyance to bring the body to a vertical position.
- Swim upward by kicking your legs using a continuous breast-stroke kick
- Extend one arm overhead
- To feel for obstructions, use the other arm to push the water down at your side. This will aid in surfacing.
