U.S. Marines attached to Alpha Battery, 3rd Battalion, 12th Marine Regiment, 3rd Marine Division perform set up drills during the Artillery Relocation Training Program (ARTP) on Feb 9. 2020, at the Hijudai Maneuver Area, Oita, Japan. ARTP is a regularly scheduled exercise conducted by several units within 3rd Marine Division. The program provides essential live-fire training in different regions of Japan to increase combat readiness in defense of U.S. and Japan and supports the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the two countries.
