U.S. Soldiers, U.S. Marines, and the Royal Thai Armed Forces participate in a jungle survival course during exercise Cobra Gold 2020 at Ban Dan Lan Hoi, Kingdom of Thailand, Feb. 27, 2020. The Soldiers are with 3rd Squadron, 4th Cavalry Regiment; 37th Field Artillery Unit; 29th Brigade Engineer Battalion; and 47th Combat Support Hospital. The Marines are with Fox Company, Battalion Landing Team, 2nd Battalion, 5th Marine Regiment, 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit. Exercise Gold 20, in its 39 iteration, is designed to advance regional security and ensure effective responses to regional crises by bringing together multinational forces to address shared goals and security commitments in the Indo-Pacific region.
